Endwayz – Poison Rules
Released on February 1st, 2017, Poison Rules is the debut full-length album by the Iranian metal band Endwayz. All songs were composed, written, and produced by Poria Maftoon, the band’s founder and creative force.
Blending the aggressive rhythms of groove metal, the melancholic depth of gothic metal, and the raw power of extreme metal, Poison Rules is both musically intense and thematically rich. Now available on all major streaming platforms, the album is a sonic journey through darkness, rebellion, and inner resistance.
Lyrically, the album explores themes such as existential decay, betrayal, corruption, isolation, and psychological warfare. Philosophical reflections on power, morality, and human weakness are woven into every track — drawing influence from nihilism, absurdism, and dark realism.
A crushing opener about resilience forged through struggle. Gritty riffs and pounding rhythms drive a message of refusing to break under pressure.
A brutal track about the animal instincts buried beneath our polished surfaces. Raw, primal, and unapologetically honest.
Reflects on mortality and legacy. The gothic atmosphere and introspective lyrics ask what remains of us after we’re gone — just a name carved in stone?
Fast and chaotic. A song about self-destruction and the painful process of rebirth. From ashes to understanding.
A politically charged anthem. This track critiques oppressive regimes and blood-stained histories, built on conquest and control.
Rebellion distilled into metal. A furious rejection of fake morality, lies, and the pressure to conform.
Emotionally heavy. Explores the aftermath of betrayal, the bitterness of disillusionment, and the armor we grow to protect ourselves.
Unfiltered rage. A song that doesn’t ask for peace — it demands truth through confrontation and inner strength.
An epic metaphor for corrupted power and a cursed legacy. Gothic in tone, with lyrics that echo cold authority and spiritual decay.
Melancholic and haunting. A descent into isolation, reflecting on the confusion of losing one’s way in a chaotic world.
The centerpiece of the album. A deep dive into societal and mental poisoning, challenging the systems that infect minds with fear and obedience.
Closes the album with fire. An unrelenting attack on manipulation, deception, and modern psychological control through media and ideology.
Poison Rules is more than music — it’s a philosophical war cry. Through the powerful vision of Poria Maftoon, Endwayz invites listeners into a soundscape of pain, rebellion, and revelation. Every track is crafted not just to be heard, but to be felt.
